On August 25, the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makan, BPOM) officially announced the registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). The Indonesian importer is PT. Pratapa Nirmala (Fahrenheit Indonesia).

Since January 2021, Indonesia has registered 6 types of COVID-19 vaccines: Sinovac (CoronaVac), Bio Farma COVID-19, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Moderna and Pfizer.
